Company Profile
International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICT) is a leading provider of terminal management services in the Philippines and around the world. Founded on December 24, 1987, ICT primarily operates the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), a key facility for international container cargo handling at the Port of Manila. The Philippine Ports Authority awarded ICT a 25-year concession to manage MICT in May 1988, with operations commencing shortly thereafter on June 12, 1988. This concession was successfully extended for an additional 25 years, securing ICT’s operational rights until May 18, 2038.
The primary focus of ICT is the management, operation, and development of container terminals, which is facilitated through long-term concession agreements with local port authorities and governments. The company is committed to enhancing the efficiency of container handling and logistics services, and it provides a comprehensive suite of ancillary services. These services include container storage, stripping and stuffing, inspection, weighing, and specialized handling of refrigerated containers (reefers). ICT also offers roll-on/roll-off services and limited anchorage options for general cargo.
ICT has established a significant global presence, with involvement in 33 terminal concessions and port development projects across 20 countries. Within the Philippines, ICT operates nine terminals, including an inland container terminal and a barge terminal, along with combined terminal operations in Subic. The company’s international portfolio includes three terminal operations in Brazil, two each in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, and one in numerous countries, such as China, Ecuador, Poland, Georgia, Madagascar, Croatia, Pakistan, Honduras, Mexico, Iraq, Argentina, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Colombia, Australia, Cameroon, and Nigeria. Notably, ICT is also developing a new port in Tuxpan, Mexico, under a recent concession agreement.
With a commitment to operational excellence and customer service, ICT continues to expand its global footprint, reinforcing its position as a key player in the container terminal industry.
