San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc. (FB), formerly known as San Miguel Pure Foods Company, Inc., was incorporated on October 31, 1956. The company initially focused on the manufacturing and marketing of processed meat products. Over the years, FB diversified its operations through various subsidiaries, expanding into poultry and livestock, feeds and flour milling, dairy and coffee production, franchising, and the manufacturing and distribution of young animal rations.
In 2018, FB amended its primary purpose and changed its corporate name to better reflect its growth into the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage sectors. That same year, the Securities and Exchange Commission approved an increase in FB's authorized capital stock, allowing the company to issue new common shares to its intermediate parent, San Miguel Corporation (SMC). This transaction involved SMC exchanging its shares in San Miguel Brewery Inc. (SMB) and Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI) to consolidate SMC’s food and beverage businesses under FB.
FB now operates in three primary business segments: beer and non-alcoholic beverages, spirits, and food. The company's brand portfolio includes:
- Magnolia: Chicken, ice cream, and dairy products
- Monterey: Fresh and marinated meats
- Purefoods: Refrigerated and canned processed meats
- Star and Dari Crème: Margarine
- San Mig Coffee: Coffee products
- La Pacita: Biscuit and flour-based snacks
- B-Meg: Animal feeds
- San Miguel Pale Pilsen and Ginebra San Miguel: Alcoholic beverages
In addition to SMB and GSMI, FB's subsidiaries include San Miguel Foods, Inc., San Miguel Mills, Inc., The Purefoods-Hormel Company, Inc., Magnolia, Inc., PT San Miguel Foods Indonesia, San Miguel Foods International, Limited, and San Miguel Super Coffeemix Co., Inc.
With a comprehensive portfolio and a commitment to quality, San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc. continues to be a leader in the food and beverage industry in the Philippines.
