Manila Water Company, Inc. (MWC), incorporated on January 6, 1997, is a premier provider of water treatment, sewerage, and sanitation services, delivering reliable distribution and management services to residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Originally established as a joint venture among Ayala Corporation (AC), United Utilities Pacific Holdings, BV, and Mitsubishi Corporation, MWC became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ayala Corporation in 2010.

On December 10, 2021, Republic Act No. 11601 was signed into law, granting MWC a franchise to establish, operate, and maintain a waterworks and sewerage system in the East Zone Service Area of Metro Manila and the Province of Rizal for a period of 25 years. This law solidifies MWC's status as a public utility, ensuring its commitment to providing essential services to its customers.

MWC’s wholly-owned subsidiaries include:

  • Manila Water Philippine Ventures, Inc. (MWPV): A holding company overseeing MWC's domestic operations, including bulk water supply agreements in locations such as Clark, Cebu, Boracay, and Davao.
  • Manila Water Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (MWAP): Responsible for MWC's international ventures in countries like Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
  • Manila Water Total Solutions Corporation: Focused on after-the-meter products and services.

Additionally, MWC holds a 90% stake in Calasiao Water Company, Inc., further expanding its footprint in the water utility sector.
