Company Profile
Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. (ELI) was incorporated on July 15, 1994. Prior to its incorporation, the Company was a division of Megaworld Corporation (MEG) and was then known as its Community Housing Division. In 1994, MEG decided to spin it off into what is now ELI for the purpose of separating MEG's high-end residential and office business from its lower and middle-income housing business. The Company is presently engaged in the development and marketing of mid-cost housing projects in the form of condominium communities, subdivision lots and house and lot packages, and commercial units to a limited extent. Projects include The Paddington Place, Mango Tree Residences, Covent Garden, Kasara Urban Resort Residences, The Rochester, Pioneer Woodlands, Little Baguio Terraces, San Lorenzo Place, The Cambridge Village, The Sonoma, and South Science Park. As of December 31, 2022, ELI holds 100% equity interest in Eastwood Property Holdings, Inc.; Valle Verde Properties, Inc.; Sherman Oak Holdings, Inc.; Empire East Communities, Inc.; and 20th Century Nylon Shirt Co., Inc. The Company also holds 72.5% stake in Laguna BelAir Science School, Inc.; 60% in Sonoma Premier Land, Inc.; 47% in Gilmore Property Marketing Associates, Inc.; and 40% in Pacific Coast Megacity Inc.
