A Brown Company, Inc. (BRN) was originally incorporated on December 21, 1966 as Bendana, Brown, Pizarro & Associates, Inc., and later renamed on October 1, 1992 as Epic Holdings Corporation (EHC). On June 25, 1993, the Securities and Exchange Commission approved the plan of merger between Brown Chemical Corporation and Brown Chemical Sales Corporation into EHC as the surviving entity. The merged company was renamed to its current corporate name a month later. BRN serves as the holding company of the Brown Group of Companies.
BRN is primarily engaged in the business of horizontal real estate development that range from high-end and middle-income residential developments to economic and socialized housing segments. BRN's real estate developments are focused in the Northern Mindanao region. Projects in Cagayan de Oro City include Xavier Estates, Teakwood Hills, Xavierville Homes, Saint Therese Subdivision, Mountain View Homes, Ventura Residences, Adelaida Park Residences, and Ignatius Enclave. Valencia Estates is located in Valencia City, Bukidnon. West Highlands is located in Butuan City featuring a 9-hole golf course development. Coral Resort Estates is located in Initao, Misamis Oriental.
BRN, through its subsidiaries, has ventured into power generation through affiliates Palm Concepcion Power Corporation and Peakpower Energy, Inc. In June 2020, BRN purchased 99.995% of Vires Energy Corporation (VEC).
Through 100%-owned subsidiary A Brown Energy and Resources Development, Inc. (ABERDI), BRN is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of palm oil and other palm products.

Inc.; Nakeen Corporation; Surigao Greens Agri Corp.; Masinloc Consolidated Power, Inc.; Palm Thermal Consolidated Holdings, Corp.; Hydro Link Projects Corp.; AB Bulk Water Company, Inc.; Blaze Capital Limited; and Irradiation Solutions Inc.
