Company Profile

RL Commercial REIT, Inc. (RCR) was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on May 16, 1988, initially as Robinsons Realty and Management Corporation. The company was established with the primary objective of acquiring, owning, developing, selling, mortgaging, leasing, and holding a diverse range of real estate for investment purposes. On April 15, 2021, RCR received SEC approval to change its name and refocus its primary purpose as a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).

RCR's principal investment strategy emphasizes long-term investments in a diversified portfolio of income-generating real estate assets, predominantly leased for office use. These properties are strategically located in major central business districts and key urban areas throughout the Philippines. The company is sponsored by Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC).

On April 15, 2021, a deed of assignment was executed between RCR and RLC, facilitating the transfer of several properties to RCR in the form of buildings and condominium units, excluding the land on which these properties are situated. This transaction involved the issuance of shares in exchange for the assigned assets. The portfolio of assigned properties includes:

  • Buildings and related immovable properties for Cyberscape Alpha, Cyberscape Beta, Tera Tower, Cyber Sigma, Exxa-Zeta Tower, Robinsons Cybergate Cebu, Robinsons Galleria Cebu, Robinsons Place Luisita 1, Cybergate Naga, Cybergate Delta 1, and Cyberscape Gamma.
  • 96 condominium units in Robinsons Equitable Tower and 31 condominium units in Robinsons Summit Center.

RCR's initial portfolio consists of 16 assets, including the aforementioned properties as well as Robinsons Cybergate Center 2 and Robinsons Cybergate Center 3, both located in Mandaluyong City. Notably, the land on which 11 of these assigned properties are situated is leased from RLC, while Cyber Sigma is governed by a lease agreement with the Bases Conversion Development Authority.
