Company Profile
Anglo Philippine Holdings Corporation (APO) was incorporated in 1958, originally as an oil and mineral exploration company under the name of Anglo Philippine Oil Corp. In 1996, the Company amended its primary purpose to that of an investment holding firm focused on natural resources, property development and infrastructure activities, and changed its corporate name to the present one. The Company also maintains minor investments in diversified pioneer projects. On December 18, 2012, the Company acquired 100% ownership of Vulcan Materials Corporation (VMC). VMC was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 12, 1991 and is involved in the exploration and development of mineral and aggregates resources. On December 21, 2015, the Company acquired 97.59% ownership of Tipo Valley Realty, Inc. (TVRI), a company involved in property development. Further, in 2016, the Company incorporated Anglo Philippine Power Corporation (APPC), to spearhead its foray into the power generation business. Aside from VMC, TVRI, and APPC, the Company also has investments in natural resources, property development, and others through United Paragon Mining Corporation; Atlas Consolidated Mining & Development Corp.; The Philodrill Corporation; MRT Development Corp.; MRT Holdings, Inc.; Brightnote Assets Corporation; and Filipinas Energy Corporation.
